Today was our first day in the garden. The kids did a great job. The School Garden Project and some wonderful Walterville Volunteers led the students in some fun garden games and planting some new vegetables in the garden. A big thank you to our new garden volunteers. Your work is showing off, the garden looks great! Here are some photos of your kids today!
Last week we were so lucky to have Mrs. Weber visitng. She spent a lot of time with both 4th and 5th grade working on the phases of the moon. This year 5th grade and I will have the opportunity and privilege to learn science with Mrs. Weber. I can't wait to have her by my side teaching these wonderful kiddos!
This week in class we have been working on writing "Short Notes" about summer. Students were asking to write at least three things they did this summer. Tomorrow we will be sharing them with the class. When they are all finished we will put them on our clothes line and display them for visitors to see.
