Explorer Research Brochures:
Criteria For Success:
- Fully complete the research packet. Be sure to find information for each section: DON'T FORGET TO WRITE DOWN THE SOURCE YOU GET YOUR INFORMATION FROM!!
- Meet the Explorer
- Background Information of the Exploration
- Area Explored
- Effects of Exploration
- Extra interesting Information
- Use the checklist to begin adding your information to the brochure. Be sure to label each page of your brochure with a heading and sub-heading if needed. As you finish each bullet point, check it off your list.
- Use appropriate sized hand-writing
- Use your best handwriting so others can read your information (write slow)
- When a drawing is required, take your time and do your best
- If it helps find a similar photo online to use as a reference
- Coloring is required
- Use a red-line to draw your explorers route on the map.
- Fill in the whole brochure. If you don't have enough information to fill it up, find more and more pictures and color
- Using EasyBIB (on Google Drive) create a works cited page, cite all of the resources you used, including websites, books, and encyclopedias.
